These Terms govern your access to and use of the Trial AI platform and website. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Service Description

Trial AI is an AI-powered mock court simulation system for educational, research, and planning use. It provides simulated judicial reasoning, verdict reports, and strategy analysis.

2. Important Disclaimer

Outputs are generated by AI and do not constitute legal advice, legal opinion, legal representation, or a prediction of an actual court result. Consult a qualified lawyer before acting on any legal matter.

3. Accounts

You are responsible for accurate account information and for keeping your account secure.

4. Who Charges You

Trial AI is operated by DEFINER TECH LTD. Payments are processed by Stripe, and charges appear on your card statement as DEFINER TECH LTD or DEFINER* TRIALAI.

5. One-time Purchases and Subscriptions

Case credits, case unlocks and lifetime plans are one-time purchases and never renew. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period, at the price shown when you subscribed, until you cancel it. The price, the billing period and the fact that it renews are shown before you pay.

6. Cancelling a Subscription

You can cancel at any time on the Subscription page of your account, and we confirm every cancellation by email. You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not charged again. If you dispute a subscription charge with your bank, we stop that subscription immediately.

7. Refunds

We refund in full any charge made after you cancelled, any duplicate charge, and any charge for something we failed to deliver because of a fault on our side. You may also ask for a refund of a one-time purchase you have not used — case credits not yet spent, or an unlock not yet opened — within 14 days of buying it, and of a subscription renewal within 7 days of the renewal if you have not used anything it provided. Once a simulation has run or a report or letter has been delivered, that item is not refundable, except where the law of your country gives you that right. To ask for a refund, email info@trialai.org from your account email. Refunds go back to the original payment method, usually within 5–10 business days.

8. Right of Withdrawal (EU, EEA and UK consumers)

If you are a consumer in the EU, EEA or UK, you may withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. When you ask us to run a simulation, deliver a report or unlock content straight away, you agree that we start performing immediately, and you acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal for that item once it has been provided. Anything you have not yet used remains within the 14-day right.

9. Questions About a Charge

If you do not recognise a charge from us, please contact info@trialai.org first. We will explain it and, where the charge was wrong, refund it. You are always free to contact your bank instead.

10. Responsible Use

Do not submit confidential, privileged, unlawful, fabricated, or third-party information that you are not authorised to disclose. Where a matter is before a court, you remain responsible for complying with any reporting restriction, non-disclosure order, or sub judice rule that applies to it, and you should not submit material you are not free to share.

11. Governing Law and Contact

These Terms are governed by Hong Kong law. This does not take away any right you have under the consumer protection law of the place where you live. For questions, contact info@trialai.org.
